In 1955 Servant of God Pope Pius XII instituted the feast of St. Joseph the Worker on May 1st. It's purpose was twofold - to counter the "May Day" celebrations of communists, and to increase devotion to the saint who was the model of workers, providing for his wife Mary and foster son Jesus. It also reminded about the dignity of human labor.
The liturgical feast of St. Joseph The Worker is celebrated on May 1st.

I am very happy with the quality of the material (weight etc.) I especially like the realistic features (face, pose etc.)
The product is better than what I expected.
