Molina 2945 – The Germanic Chalice & Paten

An extraordinary example of traditional European ecclesiastical craftsmanship, the Molina 2945 "The Germanic" Chalice combines magnificent Romanesque-inspired ornamentation, vibrant blue fire enamel, genuine gemstone accents, and exceptional Spanish silversmithing. Handcrafted in Spain, this distinguished sacred vessel offers an impressive and meaningful design for the celebration of the Holy Eucharist.

Inspired by historic German ecclesiastical metalwork, the chalice features an elaborately decorated cup with finely sculpted representations of the Four Evangelists and angels. These sacred figures are surrounded by intricate ornamental detailing, creating a richly textured composition that reflects the beauty and symbolism of traditional European church art.

The chalice is further distinguished by its beautiful blue fire-enamel accents and genuine gemstones, which provide striking contrast against the brilliant silver-plated metalwork. Traditional decorative patterns, sculptural reliefs, and colorful stone settings contribute to the vessel's impressive visual presence.

Exceptional Germanic Craftsmanship

The broad, beautifully ornamented base features the traditional symbols of the Four Evangelists, complementing the detailed religious artwork on the cup.

The stem and decorative node continue the elaborate Germanic design, combining architectural details with finely executed metalwork.

The chalice's polished silver-plated exterior contrasts beautifully with its 24-karat gold-plated cup interior, creating a dignified and traditional sacred vessel suitable for the celebration of Mass.

Manufactured by Molina Artistic Silver of Spain, the 2945 demonstrates the exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail for which this renowned European ecclesiastical silversmith is known.

Three Construction Options

The Molina 2945 is available in three constructions:

  • Silver-Plated Brass: Traditional brass construction with a finely finished silver-plated exterior and gold-plated cup interior.

  • Sterling Silver Inner Cup: Silver-plated brass exterior with an upgraded sterling silver inner cup, gold-plated for liturgical use.

  • Entirely Sterling Silver: Full sterling silver construction, combining precious-metal craftsmanship with the same exceptional Germanic design.

All three options feature the intricate religious artwork, blue fire enamel, and genuine gemstone decorations that distinguish this exceptional chalice.

Standing 7⅛ inches tall with a generous 20-ounce capacity, the Molina 2945 is particularly well suited for parish churches, cathedrals, religious communities, and solemn liturgical celebrations.

A coordinating 6¼-inch scale paten with ring is included.

Matching Ciborium Available

The Molina 2946 Germanic Ciborium is available separately and features matching ornamentation, blue enamel, and gemstone accents, allowing churches to create a beautifully coordinated collection of sacred vessels.
