Molina 2948-1 – Twelve Apostles Covered Ciborium

Beautifully handcrafted in Spain, the Molina 2948-1 Twelve Apostles Covered Ciborium combines meaningful Catholic imagery with the artistry of traditional European silversmithing. Featuring hand-engraved representations of the Twelve Apostles, an elegant silver-plated exterior, and a 24-karat gold-lined interior, this distinguished sacred vessel provides a beautiful and reverent setting for the reservation and distribution of Holy Communion.

The exterior of the ciborium features finely executed engravings depicting the Twelve Apostles, each individually identified by name. These detailed representations honor the men chosen by Christ to establish His Church and proclaim the Gospel throughout the world.

The beautifully polished silver-plated exterior emphasizes the intricate hand engraving, while the contrasting gold-lined interior creates an elegant and dignified setting for the Sacred Hosts.

The ciborium includes a coordinating fitted lid, crowned with a traditional cross, complementing the simplicity and beauty of the overall design.

Traditional Craftsmanship & Practical Design

Standing 7½ inches tall with a 4½-inch diameter cup, the Molina 2948-1 accommodates approximately 250 standard 1⅛-inch communion hosts.

Its gracefully tapered base, rounded cup, and beautifully finished lid create a balanced design that is well suited to both traditional and contemporary Catholic church sanctuaries.

Manufactured by Molina Artistic Silver of Spain, this exceptional ciborium reflects the company's longstanding tradition of fine ecclesiastical metalwork, meticulous craftsmanship, and commitment to quality.

The Molina 2948-1 is available in two construction options: silver-plated brass with a 24-karat gold-lined interior, or silver-plated brass with a sterling silver inner cup, also gold-lined.

Coordinating Twelve Apostles Collection

The Molina 2948-1 is part of a matching collection of sacred vessels:
