The Excelsis 499-47S Altar Sanctuary Lamp is a traditional tabletop sanctuary lamp designed for placement near the tabernacle, altar, or within the sanctuary.
This model features a compact 5" base and a clean, traditional design that makes it especially well suited for churches and chapels where a smaller freestanding sanctuary lamp is preferred. It is designed to hold a standard 7-day sanctuary candle and may also be ordered with optional electrification.

Traditional Sanctuary Lamp for the Blessed Sacrament
In Catholic churches, the sanctuary lamp traditionally burns near the tabernacle as a visible sign of the presence of the Blessed Sacrament.
The Excelsis 499-47S offers a dignified freestanding presentation with a simpler base than the larger 499-47 model, making it an excellent choice for chapels, smaller sanctuaries, and churches where a more compact design is desired.
Compact 5" Base
The 499-47S is distinguished from the larger 499-47 by its 5" base, providing a more compact footprint while maintaining the traditional character of the sanctuary lamp. The larger 499-47 model uses a 7" base.
