The embroidered front border features a repeating arrangement of traditional Chi-Rho symbols accompanied by stylized stalks of wheat. The Beau Veste 6027/6028 design incorporates two meaningful symbols of the Catholic faith.

Chi-Rho Monogram: The Chi-Rho is one of Christianity's oldest symbols of Jesus Christ, traditionally formed from the Greek letters Chi (Χ) and Rho (Ρ), the first two letters of the Greek word Christos, meaning Christ. This sacred monogram has appeared throughout centuries of Christian art, liturgical vestments, church furnishings, and architecture.

Wheat: Stalks of wheat are especially meaningful in Catholic Eucharistic symbolism, representing the bread that becomes the Body of Christ during the celebration of Holy Mass. Wheat also recalls the agricultural imagery used throughout Sacred Scripture to represent sacrifice, nourishment, and spiritual life.

Premium 100% Pure Linen Fabric

Unlike polyester altar cloths, the Beau Veste 6027 and 6028 are manufactured from 100% pure white linen, a traditional fabric long associated with Catholic altar linens.

The linen features a 120-thread construction and 4¾-ounce fabric weight, providing a beautiful combination of natural texture, substance, and traditional appearance.

Pure linen offers a distinctive woven texture and timeless character, making these altar cloths particularly suitable for churches seeking traditional liturgical textiles.

The silk embroidery is complemented by a carefully hand-scalloped decorative border, adding elegance without overwhelming the natural simplicity of the altar.

The embroidery runs along one side of the altar cloth, typically positioned across the front of the altar. The design requires a minimum 6½-inch front drop to accommodate the complete embroidery pattern.

Custom Sized for Your Altar

Every Beau Veste 6027/6028 Altar Cloth can be custom cut and hemmed to accommodate the dimensions of your altar.

The pure linen fabric is manufactured in an overall width of 52 inches. Larger or unusually configured altars may require special construction, which will be reviewed when preparing your quotation.

To ensure a proper fit, please provide the following measurements:

• A – Altar Width: Actual front-to-back depth of the altar mensa.
• B – Front Drop: Desired length of fabric hanging over the front of the altar (minimum 6½ inches for the embroidered design).
• C – Altar Length: Actual side-to-side length of the altar mensa.
• D – Side Drops: Desired length of fabric hanging over the sides of the altar.
• E – Back Drop: Desired length of fabric hanging over the rear of the altar.

All measurements should be supplied in inches.

Our team will review your embroidery selection and dimensions and provide a custom quotation based on the amount of fabric required and any necessary hemming, cutouts, or finishing.

Special Note Regarding Embroidery Placement: The embroidered border runs along the front length of the altar cloth, including the front portions of the side drops where applicable. Embroidery does not automatically continue along the bottom edges of the side drops. If you would like additional embroidery placement, split corners, or special construction, please specify these requirements when requesting your quotation.

Because pure linen is a natural fabric, some shrinkage should be anticipated. Appropriate allowances will be considered when preparing your quotation.
