The Solivari Art. 9774 Marian Surplice is an elegant Italian-made clergy surplice featuring traditional Marian embroidery and decorative blue and gold banding.

Crafted from a refined 45% wool / 55% polyester mixed-wool fabric, the 9774 combines the soft drape and traditional appearance of wool with the durability and easier care of polyester. The ivory-white fabric provides a classic background for the distinctive blue Marian detailing.

The surplice features a square-cut neckline, with traditional pleating at the front and back for a full, formal drape when worn over a cassock. An embroidered Marian symbol and coordinating blue and gold decorative bands at the sleeves and lower hem give the garment its distinctive devotional character.

The Solivari 9774 is designed to coordinate with the matching Solivari 0774/06 Marian Alb, making it an excellent choice for clergy and parishes seeking a consistent Marian vestment collection.

Marian Embroidery & Blue Detailing

The defining feature of the Art. 9774 is its elegant Marian embroidery, complemented by blue and gold decorative banding.

The blue detailing provides a traditional Marian color accent while the gold adds a refined liturgical finish. The decoration is substantial enough to distinguish the surplice without overwhelming its clean, traditional appearance.

Mixed Wool Fabric

The 9774 is made from a 45% wool / 55% polyester blend.

The wool content provides softness, body, and an attractive drape, while polyester improves durability and ease of care. The result is a comfortable and practical surplice suitable for regular parish use as well as more formal liturgical celebrations.

Traditional Square Neck & Pleated Design

A square-cut neckline gives the surplice a crisp, traditional appearance when worn over a cassock.

Pleating at both the front and back provides fullness through the body and allows the garment to fall naturally without appearing excessively bulky.
