--------------------------
The Misas de la Virgen María: Misal y Leccionario is an official Spanish-language liturgical resource issued by the Conferencia del Episcopado Mexicano, designed to enrich the celebration of Masses in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
This comprehensive volume provides the texts and readings for 46 Marian Masses, arranged according to the seasons of the liturgical year, including Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, and Ordinary Time. It is especially suitable for Marian shrines, parishes, chapels, religious communities, and churches with Spanish-speaking ministries seeking to celebrate the Blessed Virgin Mary with greater liturgical and theological depth.
Rather than replacing the Misal Romano, this volume serves as a supplemental liturgical resource specifically for celebrations dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. The collection includes Mass formularies and corresponding Scripture readings, helping priests and liturgical ministers prepare complete Marian celebrations from a single resource.
Introductory material accompanies the formularies to provide biblical, theological, and pastoral context, helping place Marian devotion within the mystery of Christ and the liturgical life of the Church.
